Meet The Accountant

Ever since I could remember, I have always loved numbers and solving puzzles. For me, financial statements tell a story about your business. I love going through the story and getting to know your business. As I am studying the narrative of your financial statements, I am looking for opportunities for your books to be in better order and looking for ways to reduce tax liability as much as possible. 

My first experience in accounting was in the 1990s when my mother inherited my stepfather’s business. Which was a lot of responsibility. With the knowledge I already had in bookkeeping, I saw the impact I could make ensuring the books were correct and that the business didn’t overpay in taxes. In 2002, I moved to California and started doing tax preparation for families and friends. I then made the decision to move to Texas in May of 2009. After moving to Texas I pursued getting my Bachelors in Accounting. While working toward my bachelors, I was raising 4 children and working in accounting for various companies and non-profits. After much hard work, I successfully graduated in 2020 with my Bachelors. 

After graduation, I started working in Accounting with a Fortune 500 company. After all the sweat, grind, and countless hours in the office, I made the decision to branch out on my own and launch Leading Edge Accounting Solutions. With the mission of helping business owners and individuals have peace of mind knowing their books are in order and assuring they are not overpaying taxes.
